West Mercia Police Crime Prevention Advice for Sheds & Garages

West Mercia Police Crime Prevention Advice for Sheds & Garages

2017-07-17
| by Editor | Posted in Telford News, Telford Lifestyle

Summer is on the way and the schools are just about to break up. As we are all starting to think about a holiday away from our Telford homes, West Mercia Police offers advice to ensure the security of our garden sheds and garages whilst we’re away.

If you take a look in your shed or garage you will probably find power tools, garden equipment, bikes and other valuables which are easy to steal and very expensive to replace.

Burglars will often target the shed or garage first as it may well contain tools which can be used to break into the main house.

By fitting additional security to garages and sheds, burglars will find it more difficult to break in and they will have to make more noise doing so.

A few simple security measures can increase the visual deterrent and reduce the likelihood of garages and sheds being targeted.

Crime prevention advice for Home & Garden (Crime & Safety section) can be found on the West Mercia Police website.
